Pools

Various resorts, hotels, clubs, and recreational parks provide pools for people to use and enjoy. However, we at Statements In Stone, Inc. highly recommend building one right inside your backyard. It can be quite an expensive project, but the investment will help you reap several benefits. A pool is more than just an outdoor feature; it is a lifetime commitment to a lifestyle that any individual, regardless of age, would be able to enjoy.

The Wonderful Benefits of Pools

Pools are not just hollow basins with water; they are perfect areas to relax, exercise, play, and have fun. Ask any doctor and they would all say one thing: swimming is one of the best exercises out there. Having your own pool provides you with an accessible workout area. Whether you prefer to do laps or simply frolic in the water with your family or friends, it provides you great cardiovascular exercise that benefits your heart and joints, and helps build muscles.

When it comes to the social benefits, swimming pools never fail to entertain guests. You can have almost any type of party in or around a pool. The water itself provides enough drama and can make your outdoor setting stunning. The pool is also a great place to relax and unwind on your own or with friends. This type of outdoor feature never gets old so you are guaranteed with a recreational area that your kids will never get tired of using.

The Types of Pools that We Build

Pools

Whether you are in Frankfort, Homewood, Markham, or any other city and town in Illinois, we have the right type of pool that will suit your needs, preferences, and design specifications.

Here are some of the pool types that we can build for you:

  • Above-ground. These are pools built on the surface of your property with metal, plastic, or wood walls. They are easier to disassemble in case you want them transferred or removed.

  • Fiberglass. These are fiberglass basins that are molded into the desired shape, installed into a hole that has been dug out, and then secured with a concrete deck around.

  • Vinyl-lined in-ground pools. These consist of a vinyl liner that needs to be replaced after every 10 years or so, and then installed into a dug-out hole.

  • Gunite. Gunite is a mixture of sand and cement that forms an almost plaster-like material. This is sprayed into a dug-out hole framed with steel rebar to make the wall and floor of the pool.

  • Poured concrete. This type of pool is made of poured concrete on concrete masonry blocks or wooden framework grids.
